Climate action through sport in the context of refugees and displacement

As this research project uses co-production as part of a participation action research (PAR) design, it is crucial to acknowledge the terms and phrases that are used throughout the report and what they mean in the context of sport, climate action, and forced displacement. In line with co-production and PAR, it is particularly important to dispel assumptive definitions of hierarchical terms (e.g., empowerment) as well as culturally sensitive terms (e.g., climate refugee). Below is a list of important terms and phrases that have been defined by academic scholars and global policies alike.
