It is this relationship between the sea, beach, town, locals and the act of wave riding (surfing) in the Lincolnshire’s water in which I’m starting to explore.Surfing in Lincolnshire has been taking place for around 50 years now, however the main problems is there has only been a handful of surfers (now second generations of surfers) riding the waves.
You have to be dedicated and understand weather systems and most importantly tidal systems. Due to this fickle connection between all the elements involved to surf in my local break, you don’t get wet that often. The internet has helped, and more importantly the education of reading the swell data at our finger tips, the what where when and how drives the daily search bars.
Being lucky enough to catch the wind and waves together are what dreams are made of.Secondly, there is now a connection between these dedicated followers and the start of a community.
