This prospective review examines the structural invisibility of Jammūvī (Jammu Province, Occupied by Pakistan) communities within the UK National Health Service (NHS). Despite forming one of Britain’s largest South Asian diasporas, this group remains statistically unrecognised in ethnic monitoring and mental health research. Drawing upon NHS workforce data, patient outcomes, and public health frameworks, the review highlights disparities in access, diagnosis, and treatment. It proposes a culturally competent, decolonial approach that recognises Jammūvī identity as distinct from Pakistani and Kashmiri categories. The study further analyses how staff perceptions—what is termed the “Staff Lens”—shape systemic bias and clinical exclusion, offering new pathways for recognition, equity, and healing.
