The Transparent Ranking of Universities is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Instituto de Políticas y Bienes Públicos del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spain). It consists of more than 6300 higher education institutions ranked by the number of citations recived by the top researchers of each institution accirding to their public Googler Scholar profile. The data is obtained from filtering by the web/email domain of the university the top 310 profiles and then excluding the first 20 for avoiding outliers. Universities can be excluded if they have non-individual profiles or a several unclean or incorrect profiles. The data is used for the indicator Openness of the Rankig Web (Webometrics) of the Universities. Data were collected during the first weeks of January 2025.
