The Transparent Ranking of Open Access (OA) Repositories has been published annually since 2008 as part of the Webometrics Portal of Rankings (webometrics.ingo). This ranking evaluates 4 494 OA institutional repositories based on the total number of items indexed by Google Scholar (excluding citations). The dataset spans seven consecutive years (2018-2024), highlighting the evolution of OA coverage and the high volatility in Google Scholar’s crawling process.
