Staffing requirements in German psycho-oncology according to type of care (liaison, consultation model)

<p>On the basis of German epidemiological studies on distress in oncological patients (burden and desire for support) as well as empirical data on the volume of services provided by psycho-oncological staff (care according to the liaison model versus the consultation model), estimates of demand are presented. </p> <p>The text is in German language, but has an extended abstract.</p><p>The manuscript was reviewed, but rejected with regard to its inappropriate "polemics" and because it is neither an original work nor a review and therefore does not fit into "any category" of the journal, even though the subject matter was recognised as important.</p><p>The reader may form his or her own judgement here.</p>
