A nationally-accredited social, health and financial skills program was delivered by trained local secondary school graduates, semi-randomized to rural grade 10-11 classrooms, produced significant increases in girls’ social capital, saving and financial access, and boys’ social grants knowledge and HIV prevention behaviors. Financial education mapped to higher female and male cognitive scores.
