Proving God: A Defense for Intelligent Design

This qualitative research paper makes a case for the theory of Intelligent Design with respect to life as we know it. A review of various sources on the topic revealed several themes. Primarily, the theory of abiogenesis accepted by many in the scientific community is necessary for the theory of Natural Design to be true. Hence, that theory is inaccurate as abiogenesis has been proven mathematically impossible at a theoretical probability of 1 in infinity. By deduction, Intelligent Design is the only logical alternative. Further review of the sources revealed that contrary to popular scientific belief, life is not solely composed of the tangible, measurable, and observable. Instead, there are intangible aspects of our existence that while intangible are real. Thus, the scientific community is precluded from swearing that a life form the transcends natural law and is imperceptible via the five senses cannot exist as scientists are constantly discovering new life forms; some of which they did not believe existed until they were discovered. Moreover, the sources examined demonstrated the theme that causation with an infinite first cause which is intelligent and intentional are logical to explain our existence. Using the theory of subjective probability, the researcher has concluded from the resources examined that it is much more plausible that life came about from a life form that is spiritual and imperceptible. This comparison was made in response to the ideology that life came about by natural progression from atoms, to simple molecules, to complex molecules, to simple life forms, to a complex diversity of life forms with consciousness by random chance. Given this body of knowledge, the belief that God exists is right, rational, and reasonable.
