This article explores the significance of Process Studies in Military Strategy and advocates for the adoption of a "Process Shift" in understanding and formulating military strategies. It delves into the distinction between Content Studies and Process Studies, highlighting the dynamic, iterative nature of strategic decision-making processes within military organizations. By emphasizing the need to adapt and evolve strategies in response to changing operational environments, technological advancements, and geopolitical shifts, the article underscores the importance of Process Studies in shaping the future of military planning and execution. It also outlines specific measures and approaches, such as dynamic modeling and simulation, longitudinal case studies, network analysis, action research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, to enhance process studies in military strategy. The integration of these approaches presents a significant opportunity for military organizations to gain a deeper understanding of strategic decision-making processes and develop more effective and resilient military strategies in contemporary security environments.
