Plugging in the external supply may leave your Arduino USB-powered

When the Arduino UNO board detects proper supply voltage source connected to the input power jack, it disconnects the USB supply to avoid joining two supply rails. This works on original Arduino UNO Rev 3 boards, but older ones, clones, counterfeits may behave differently.
