This project focuses on the design and simulation of a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) operating at 2.4 GHz for applications like Bluetooth and WLAN. The design aims to minimize noise and maximize gain, surpassing the performance of the SST12LN01 LNA. The selected Silicon-Germanium BFP620 transistor from Infineon Technologies is optimized using AWR Design Software and Smith Chart analysis. The report details stability criteria, gain and noise considerations, and the transmission line design for impedance matching. Results show a gain of 17.05 dB, a noise figure of 1.29 dB, and a bandwidth of 327 MHz, demonstrating significant improvement in performance and suitability for modern wireless communication systems.
