Application of Strategic Process Model to Military Strategy Studies
This article explores the application of Henry Mintzberg’s Strategic Process Model to analyze and enhance adaptive strategy in military operations. The model's components, including emergent strategy, organic structure, learning and feedback loops, and scenario planning, are examined in the context of military organizations' response to dynamic threats and changing environmental conditions. By leveraging the model, military leaders and strategists can navigate uncertainty, make rapid adjustments, and capitalize on emerging opportunities while addressing dynamic threats. Envisioning 8 application scenarios, the article highlights the model's significance in facilitating decentralized decision-making, institutionalized learning, and future-oriented planning to ensure readiness and agility in the face of complex and unpredictable challenges.
