Upstream oil and gas development and management are essential for meeting global energy demands while addressing environmental and economic challenges. The upstream oil and gas industry operates in a complex and inherently risky environment where significant capital investments are consistently exposed to economic, political, geological, technological, environmental, and operational uncertainties. Developing and managing oil and gas fields is a multifaceted and dynamic process that spans multiple stages, from initial exploration to final decommissioning. Specifically, the lifecycle of an oil and gas field includes various phases, such as exploration, appraisal, development, production, and decommissioning.
