ADCT User Manual_V3.0
With the advent of digital information distribution systems and consequently digital education systems, libraries have been an indispensable part of it. It thrives on one unique feature, which is data., However, the raw data is useless for any organization until or unless some valuable information is extracted from it. Data processing is a method that can collect raw data and extract or transform useful information from it, The raw data is collected, filtered, processed, analyzed and represented in a specific manner. Different types of data processing methods are available, such as manual curation(SME intervention), mechanical acquisition(sensor data, public data) and electronic data processing. In modern days, data is being processed with data processing software and programmers. A set of instructions and data are given to the software, and it generates the desired output. Data curation provides the methodological and technological data management support to address data quality issues maximizing the usability of the data. We have introduced a new data processing tool ADCT in the domain of Digital Libray and Information Science, that would facilitate bulk transformation of (semi/un)structured data into a curated form and comply with the data governance and standardization rules as defined by the organization. Data curation is a fundamental process for any digital library or data aggregation system as it facilitates faster and perfect executions of the search and retrievals.
