Assistive technology can include wheelchairs and walkers for mobility as well as computer hardware, software, and peripherals that make it easier for persons with disabilities to use computers and other information technologies. People with limited hand function, for instance, may use a keyboard with large keys or a special mouse to operate a computer. People who are blind may use software that reads text on the screen aloud. People with low vision may use software that enlarges screen content.
