Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are two of the most commonly diagnosed childhood psychiatric conditions. Importantly, a significant number of patients will have a co-occurrence of the two. Research pegs the number of ASD patients with co-morbid ADHD at 50-70%. This study aimed at evaluating the impact of demographics and various co-morbidities on the likelihood of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, or ASD+ADHD in children/adolescents. Insights gathered from this study have the potential to inform clinical practice guidelines, help calibrate healthcare policies better and optimize interventions leading to enhanced quality of care and patient outcomes.
