Photographic records are increasingly becoming important for conservation and monitoring of biodiversity. Aggregating research conducted over several years, the atlases profile the fishes of Uganda by major national lake basins. They provide a chance to understand the enormous diversity of the fishes of Uganda. In addition, the atlases present vital information about the fishes such as conservation status, presence, and origin that is essential for conservation decision making, capacity building, and advocacy.
