'New money for old rope: repurposing open knowledge from Wikidata' is a poster presented at Wikimania 2024 in Katowice, Poland and this poster is also available on Wikicommons under a CC BY SA 4.0 license. It presents the outline of the fourth year teaching module CS4099 Senior Honours Projects along with the results from 2023/24. CS4099 runs for a full academic year and is worth 25% of each student's time.

In 2023/24, 5 students created wiki inspired data visualisations and apps, supported by Kirsty Ross, Abd Alsattar Ardati, Sara Thomas, and Mark Cranston. These are described in the poster. As a result of the project, two brand new datasets were uploaded to Wikidata (complemented by accompanying visualisations), a walking app for Wiki Loves Monuments was developed, and two new visualisations of Wiki Loves Monuments and Wiki Loves Earth were published online.
