Linking Observational Cosmology with Theory
We present our work to show the framework linking observations with theories in cosmology. We can either start from the observations, measuring the clustering signals and fit it with theoretical models; or, we can start from the theories to generate a mock catalog and then compare it with observations. In particular, we can start from both sides and then merge to the intermediate, the halo-occupation distribution (HOD), to compare observations with data simulated from theories. While this concept can be easily grasped, the procedures remain computationally expensive. We shall review our results from these procedures and discuss future prospects to improve the linkage between observations and theories.
