Hidden in plain sight? Identifying patient authors
Publications authored by patients exist, but they are difficult to identify. One quick, free, and global solution could be the use of PubMed. If patient authors included "Patient Author" as at least one of their affiliations, their publications could be easily identified via PubMed's Advanced Search facility (type in Patient Author in the Affiliations search tool).
