The purpose of this study is the validation of an immunoassay for semi-quantitative screening of various

mycotoxins: Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), Aflatoxin G1 (AFG1),  Ochratoxin A (OTA),  Zearalenone (ZEA), Toxin T-2

and HT-2, Deoxynivalenol (DON) and Fumonisins (FB1+FB2) in rice samples.

According to validation results, spiked rice samples showed low false results (5% of false negatives and 5% of false

positives for fumonisins (FB1 and FB2), 5% of false negatives for ZEA, OTA, AFB1, T2HT2 and DON), in agreement with

European Union legislation performance criteria [1].
