This poster was presented at the 15th Evolutionary Biology Meeting at Marseilles (September 27-30, 2011, Marseilles, France).

It describes a modification to the extended Tree Bissection and Reconnection (eTBR) topology modification proposal that is used in Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) Bayesian phylogeny inference programs. This modification should ensure that a valid proposal ratio can be computed when trees are not fully bifurcating.

It was made using the baposter latex class (http://www.brian-amberg.de/uni/poster/) and the packages tikz (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pgf/) and pgfplots (http://pgfplots.sourceforge.net/).
