The Big Weather Web aims to remove barriers for scientific communities to adopt new technologies vital for data-intensive science. The project is using a large ensemble distributed over 7 universities as a driving problem to assemble a common storage, linking, and cataloging infrastructure, using software container technologies for easy deployment and reproducibility.
