US Government Abuse of Power

Governments over time have a tendency to spin off clandestine units that engage in intelligence agency abuses. This includes the disruption of lawful groups that are critical of the government, and even "extra-judicial killings. This latter term means the assassination of persons deemed by the clandestine squads to be threats to public order or even the nation itself.
