This document describes the sample and a set of statistical results concerning a sample of Finnish higher education teachers and students from one research-intensive university and one polytechnic institution in the Spring of 2024. The analysis focused on respondents’ attitudes regarding the determination of course workload, students’ workload experiences, time use, and learning. The analysis was performed with SPSS Statistics (Version 28.0.1.0).

This document is mainly intended as an online appendix for publications related to the analysis. It describes the sample involved in the analysis, variables with their related distributional characteristics, and a set of related statistical tests, especially t-test and variance analyses.

This content is part of a doctoral research project supported by the Kone Foundation (Decision 202202974). The project focused on the time-use practices and workload of higher education students, as well as the practices of teachers in determining the workload for their courses
