<p dir="ltr">OxyCalDACCS is a Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) concept that builds on the success oxyfuel calcination systems – such as Heidelberg Materials’ OxyCal process – by coupling high-purity CO2 from calcination with distributed carbonation of calcium oxide (CaO) as a durable sorbent for atmospheric CDR. This hybrid approach merges Point-Source Capture (PSC) with Direct Air Capture (DAC) and mineralization, offering a pathway toward net-negative emissions.</p>
