F.F. Bosworth's Connection to the Spanish Flu: His first wife, Estelle, was possibly a victim of the deadly virus
Was F.F. Bosworth’s first wife, Estelle, a victim of the Spanish Flu?
After reading Daniel Isgrigg’s excellent article, “How Pentecostals Responded to the 1918 ‘Spanish Influenza,'” I decided to review again the life history of Bosworth. I remembered his first wife, Estelle, had died in November 1919 after contracting “influenza.” So I took a closer look at her death. While I can’t be certain at this point about the exact cause of her death, it seems highly probable that she was indeed a victim of the dreaded Spanish Flu.
