This study will evaluate whether the inclusion of uneven treadmill training to standard rehabilitation can improve clinical, functional, biomechanical, and patient-reported outcomes compared to standard of care alone in military members with lateral ankle sprain and chronic ankle instability. Secondary objectives will evaluate the prophylactic effects of treatment on secondary injury and identification of any contributing or mediating factors that influence treatment outcomes.
