This video is a simulation of the swarming behavior that appeared after 1,200 generations of evolution in the EOS digital evolution platform. There are 1,000 prey (white) and 1 predator (red). If you think of each line as a fish or bird, then you can imagine this video as a top-down view of the prey attempting to defend themselves against the predator's attacks by swarming.

This video is included as supplementary material for our publication in the Journal of the Royal Society Interface entitled, "Predator confusion is sufficient to evolve swarming behavior."
