FÉ E CIÊNCIA - Faith and Science

Este artigo aborda a relação entre fé e ciência a partir de uma perspectiva interdisciplinar e crítica. Inspirado na célebre afirmação de Albert Einstein — "Ciência sem religião é aleijada, religião sem ciência é cega" —, o estudo desafia a visão de antagonismo entre razão e espiritualidade, mostrando que ambas podem se complementar na busca por uma compreensão mais profunda da realidade. Com base na história da Biologia e na crítica ao reducionismo científico, o texto propõe uma abordagem holística e integrada do conhecimento, valorizando a liberdade humana, a complexidade social e a necessidade de diálogo entre saberes.

ABSTRACT (Faith and Science)

This article addresses the relationship between faith and science from an interdisciplinary and critical perspective. Inspired by Albert Einstein's famous statement — "Science without religion is crippled, religion without science is blind" —, the study challenges the view of antagonism between reason and spirituality, showing that both can complement each other in the search for a deeper understanding of reality. Based on the history of Biology and the critique of scientific reductionism, the text proposes a holistic and integrated approach to knowledge, valuing human freedom, social complexity and the need for dialogue between knowledge.
