When you visualize medical information, which value would be important and how could we adopt these values to UI/UX design? We attempted to answer these questions by designing the clinical dashboard for general hospital use in South Korea. After conducting an evaluation via Focus Group Interview, user testing, and video analysis of the original demo version, we decided to implement a more systematic approach to identify weak points using a value-sensitive design. Using this method, we were able to minimize the potential exposure of sensitive information and avoid overloading the user with too much information. The potential achievement of such results suggests a practical way of optimizing the design of clinical dashboard while highlighting the value of a systematic approach to satisfying design requirements. This examination of the current version of clinical dashboards indicates the need to conduct further detailed research studies to verify their efficacy and establish more stringent design guidelines.
