A theory of price-gouging related to personal protective equipment: antisocial entrepreneurialism puts healthcare workers, disproportionately women of all races, at risk. Women of color are especially overrepresented in the lower ranks of the occupation and tend to do the most direct patientcare, hence they are most at-risk for exposure to dangerous pathogens such as Covid-19.
