SPIM repository

<p dir="ltr">This repository contains the data and model templates that support the findings presented in the article <i>“Integrating BIM and GIS through Spatial Planning Information Model”</i> . The dataset provides the foundational files used in the Estonian pilot studies demonstrating the creation, enrichment, and exchange of Spatial Planning Information Models (SPIM) between Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environments.<br>Contents:</p><ul><li><b>Civil 3D Template (.dwt)</b> — Customised Estonian planning template defining layers, property sets, and classifications for zoning areas, parcels, buildable envelopes, transport networks, and greenery. Enables consistent SPIM creation and attribute enrichment in Autodesk Civil 3D.</li><li><b>IFC Planning Models (.ifc)</b> — Exported examples of SPIM datasets from the Tallinn pilot projects (e.g. Järve Towers, ERR Detailed Plan, Tallinn Harbour). Each model encodes regulatory and spatial data for zoning envelopes, parcels, and environmental constraints.</li></ul><p></p>
