In this article, we try to highlight the characteristics of the archaeological ceramics of the Banio 1, Banio 2 and Nyafessa sites through a typotechnological analysis of ceramic shards. This characterization is reflected in the recovery of container types, decorations, surface treatments, degreasers, coloration of fabric, mounting techniques and cooking methods observed. The potsherds analyzed come from field surveys that we conducted in the region of Nyafessa (extreme southwest of Gabon) as part of an environmental impact study commissioned by Maurel & Prom in 2014.
