Evaluación de las revistas mexicanas de divulgación científica en la era digital

Objetivo: Identificar cómo las 19 publicaciones listadas en el Índice de Revistas Mexicanas de Divulgación Científica y Tecnológica (IRMDCT) del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (Conacyt) han sido diferentes herramientas digitales que ofrecen las Tecnologías de la Información (Tic) para mejorar sus estrategias de comunicación para la apropiación del conocimiento científico. Método: durante diciembre de 2015 y enero de 2016, se señalaron los sitios web de las 19 revistas indizadas en el IRMDCT para examinar la actualización de la información que publican; temática; meta de público; tipo de contribuciones; y el tipo de acceso de sus versiones digitales en caso de que editen una versión orientada al entorno digital. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que el total de las revistas cuentan con un sitio web; sin embargo, no todas ellas comparten sus contenidos en línea y las que lo hacen se limitan a publicar materiales en formato PDF, prácticas editoriales que se alejan del contexto de la Ciencia 2.0 que busca impulsar la relación ciencia-sociedad para la producción colectiva del conocimiento.



Objective: Identify how the 19 publications listed in the Mexican Index of Popular Science and Technology Magazines (IRMDCT) of the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt) have been different digital tools that offer Information Technologies (ICT) to improve their communication strategies for the appropriation of scientific knowledge. Method: During December 2015 and January 2016, the websites of the 19 magazines indexed in the IRMDCT are indicated to examine the updating of the information they publish; scope, target and the type of access of their digital versions in case they edit a version oriented to the digital environment. Results: The results show that the total of the magazines have a website; however, not all of them share their content online and those that do it are limited to publishing materials in PDF format, editorial practices that move away from the context of Science 2.0 that seeks to promote the science-society relationship for the collective production of knowledge .
