<p dir="ltr">This article analyses the job opportunities open to geographers in intermediate</p><p dir="ltr">and higher vocational training. It briefly outlines the current situation in Spain and</p><p dir="ltr">analyses the situation in Andalusia in depth, through a literature review and analysis of</p><p dir="ltr">the current regulations in force establishing official qualifications to work as a supply</p><p dir="ltr">teacher in secondary education and vocational colleges. It also analyses the curriculum</p><p dir="ltr">of the respective Royal Decrees and the Order in Andalusia that sets out the syllabus</p><p dir="ltr">for secondary and higher vocational training. The conclusions show the employment</p><p dir="ltr">possibilities existing in Andalusia within professional training for geography teachers</p><p dir="ltr">and the great weight of geographical contents established for each of the qualifications,</p><p dir="ltr">noting that this teaching is delivered by other disciplines excluding Geography.</p>
