India has adopted representative form of government. The Indian Constitution in order to ensure free and fare elections for Indian democracy provides detailed provisions. The representatives are elected through the mode of voting system. Prior to NOTA (None- of the above) option came in 2013, there was no option to reject the candidate except not to go to cast vote. The option of NOTA was thought of one of the measures for diminishing decriminalisation mark in representative system of governance and to curb the impersonations in election. The paper evaluates the NOTA option exercise in terms of strengthening the democracy about choice and goes further to asses the addition and deletion to the NOTA option
