EPISTEMOLOGICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF INGO WOLFGANG SARLET
The present article aims to identify the epistemological and methodological contributions of Ingo Wolfgang Sarlet to the legal field. The dignity of the human person - the principle of principles - has an important hermeneutical function, since innumerable judicial decisions are based on it. Through bibliographic research it is possible to affirm that the study of Sarlet privileges legal hermeneutics to solve cases of conflict between rights, addresses the positive and negative aspects of the principle of dignity and affirms that the whole society (State and individuals) is responsible for the realization of the principle of principles, Namely: dignity. When citing examples of the application of the weighting technique, it indicates an analysis that dialogues with the empirical, but without giving up the rational aspects, conferring this articulation with a dialectical anchorage.
