This study focuses on identifying environmental, healthcare systems and individual factors associated with patients - self-determined to be in need of in-person care - that avoided in-person care due to Covid-19 associated concerns. The study was done in the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemics in early to mid 2020. The study adds to prior work since it not only looks at individual patient attributes, but also patients' perception of healthcare systems' safety protocol adherence and patients' exposure to media messages about Covid-19.
