The construction of plants for generation of biogas depends on planning and design for each case. A good project is essential to ensure a good operation of the plant. The methodological framework proposed in this paper should facilitate the choice of digestion, design of bioreactors, stages, loading, handling, storage and the use of biogas. This paper aims to investigate and apply knowledge of research in creating a model for the design of biogas plants. The application of the proposed model proposes a design of a biogas plant for the treatment of biomass composed of corn silage. The use of the generated model provides results of the case study.
