(A) With immobilized chaperonin. The boxed area in the upper panel is enlarged in the lower panel. The particles comprise almost exclusively ring-shaped end-on views (black arrowheads). The white arrowhead indicates a cluster of glycerol. (B) Without immobilized chaperonin. The scale bars represent 100 nm.
