Control mussels were injected with an equal volume of PBS. The results are represented as mean ± SD of three different biological replicates in a representative experiment. Asterisks indicate significant differences (p<0.05) in Myt C expression in mussels injected with pMCV1.4 empty plasmid (white circles) or pMCV1.4-Myt Ccon-eGFP (black circles) relative to the expression of PBS injected mussels, previously normalized to 18S transcript levels.</p>
