Left panel shows control group without morphological lesion (A), CisPt3.5 (C) and CisPt7 (E) groups whit moderate nuclear dysplasia, incipient acute tubular necrosis, marked tubular dilation and apoptotic cells in tubular lumen of proximal convoluted tubules in the corticomedullary junction (PAS original magnification x200). Right panel shows representative photographs of Sirius red staining of kidneys from control (B), 3.5 (D) and 7 mg/kg cisplatin-treated rats (F) after 14 days (original magnification x200).
