Values are expressed as percentage of the control-condition amplitude (n  =  18). To compare the difference in mean MEP amplitudes between the two TMS timings (“open” vs. “catch”) under each speed condition, the data were analyzed with paired t-tests. Asterisks indicate significant differences between speed conditions (*, p <0.05; **, p <0.01). Vertical bars indicate ± standard error.
