(A) Genome map: ORFs encoding the replication-associated protein (Rep), the capsid protein (Cap) and several unknown proteins (ORF3-5), the position of a putative TATA-box and the stemloop structure are indicated. (B) Proposed secondary structure of the stem-loop structure; nucleotides conserved in PigSCV and ChiSCV are shown in bold face. (C) Phylogenetic tree constructed on the basis of the deduced amino acid sequences of the Rep protein of selected circular ssDNA viruses of animals and plants. The position of PigSCV is indicated by an arrow.
