Fatty acid synthesis in fish in (A) FW and (B) SW Lower activities were present in fish under hypothermal stress because of the down-regulation of fatty acid synthase. Inhibition of fatty acid synthesis also presented as up-regulation of 5'-AMP-activated protein kinase α (PRKAA) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase 2 (ACACB).
