posted on 2015-05-12, 03:04 authored by Frank Heiland, Na Yin“Empirical distribution” refers to the distribution of self-reported work limitations among HRS respondents who have participated in the vignette questionnaire. “Estimated distribution without adjusting for reporting heterogeneity” refers to the distribution of work limitations estimated using the HOPIT procedure but without adjusting reporting heterogeneity, which is similar to an ordered probit model. “Reclassification using health professional scale” and “Reclassification using disability recipient scale” refers to the distribution of work limitations adjusted for reporting heterogeneity in accordance with the estimated scales (based on Model 4 in Table 2) for health professionals (excluding nurses) and disability recipients.
