Centrosome irradiation results in a decreased rate of migration for U2OS and PtK2 cells.
During a 2 hour observation period following irradiation, centrosome targeted U2OS cells migrated at a 61–69% slower rate when compared to control cells. U2OS measurements are based on 9 centrosome irradiated cells and 8 control cells. Centrosome targeted PtK2 cells migrated at a 19–24% slower rate when compared to control cells. PtK2 measurements are based on 10 centrosome irradiated cells and 18 control cells.
