This dataset is related to the research article titled "Visualization of latent fingermarks on the surfaces of paper tape." The study evaluated various fingermark development techniques on both the adhesive and non-adhesive sides of paper tapes. The reagents tested included 1,2-indanedione/zinc, ninhydrin, Oil Red O, cyanoacrylate fuming with BY40, Swedish black powder, Greenescent powder, Dazzle Red powder, and iron oxide-based powder suspension. The results showed that Dazzle Red powder was most effective on the non-adhesive side, and iron oxide-based powder suspension performed best on the adhesive side. The dataset includes representative images and experimental data supporting the findings.
