Thirteen-year-old female gymnast with left capitellar OCD lesion. Panel A demonstrates a proton density sagittal MRI slice of a Hefti 5 10mm (medial to lateral) x 16mm (anterior to posterior) x 7mm deep uncontained capitellar OCD lesion. After elbow arthroscopy and open posterior anconeus-splitting arthrotomy, panel B demonstrates lesion identification. Panel C shows the placement of an anterior 10mm OATS plug and a posterior 8mm OATS plug in a “snowman” configuration, both harvested from the non-weightbearing far lateral LFC of the knee. Panel D demonstrates use of ECM-BMAC and fibrin glue sealant around the plugs to fill the remaining defect.
